I heard about version control, I'm gonna look into that now obviously but I don't really see how it could prevent it since I literally didn't touch anything anyway, so even if I had previous backup, why wouldn't it be broken too ?. what if after a year of work, I just open Unity and everything is pink ? The project is a couple of month worth of work, it's just a prototype so worst case scenario, I'm not really afraid of rebuilding it from a new file as the scripts are okay and backed up, but I'm scared about the future, when it will go bigger.

The only thing I change was that a few weeks ago, I relocated "MyDocument" folder (from OneDrive to my C: drive), it messed things up a bit here and there in other software but I fixed it and it seems that unity doesn't use that folder anyway. I'm working on a OneDrive cloud, but I tried copy/paste it locally and I have the same problem so OneDrive doesn't seems to be the issue. I didn't move anything around that folder. The only thing I updated was the unity hub launcher I think, but I didn't updated unity itself. I let that project sleep for like 5 or 6 weeks but I didn't touch anything inbetween. Most of the C# scripts seem fine though (a few of them are acting a bit weird though). It's mainly textures reference issue I think as the problem is that most of the project turn pink in the game window, the light shaders are going rogue too, and a lot of thing are just not even displaying in the scene editor window.
